Ukraine International Airlines has announced the launch of its Web Check-in and Auto Check-in facilities for all passenger categories. Earlier, some passenger categories could not previously take advantage of these services due to technical restrictions.
Now, all passengers, including passengers travelling with infants/children or pets, unaccompanied minors, passengers with special needs including those who require special assistance and/or additional oxygen during the flight, as well as passengers carrying weapon, can check-in online either on UIA website or via UIA Web Check-in APP.
Many airlines do not provide web check-in facilities for the special needs passengers or anyone travelling with infants.
With the launch of this service, UIA has also announced that checking-in at counters manned by the airline's officers at airports will be hereby a chargeable service. Passengers preferring to get their boarding passes printed at an airport check-in desk from an UIA agent will be charged 20 Euros for countries part of the European Union and 20 USD for all other countries.

UIA has also launched the Auto Check-in service for passengers who were unable to check in online prior to the flight, but submitted correct passport and contact details when booking their tickets. In this case, passengers are checked-in and e-mailed their boarding passes automatically.
Once checked-in, either online or automatically, passengers are required to save their e-boarding passes to any portable device or print them out.
Once at the origin airport, the above-mentioned passenger categories are required to head to a check-in counter to clear through pre-flight documentary formalities. Passengers travelling with infants/children may proceed straight to aviation security with further clearance by an immigration control officer.
"We at UIA aspire to make our passengers' pre-flight experience the most client-friendly possible," noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary, in a press release.
"We developed an efficient IT-solution that empowered us to omit one of the most inconvenient pre-flight steps, namely queuing at a check-in counter. From now on, all our passengers may choose out of several check-in options and therefore, economize on time and efforts," the press release continued.
